You know something. Rats I can certainly understand. They're filthy and viscious and fast. But I don't know why anyone would be afraid of a frog!

In this country they don't get vey big ,but I find insects in general very disgusting especially beatles which can get huge too with a very hard shell and they can bite too. Bees can be terrifying too and cockraoches. Cockoaches are so sensitive and fast they can fill a room while you sleep and disappear by the time you turn the light on.
I lived in a house in Edmonton and a cockroach came out of the cupboard. We spayed it with raid and more came out and started to cover the couter top. We eventually had enough to fill a small jar and called the pest extermintor. The extermintor asked how many ther were and we told them about the jar. He said by that estimate the house was infested by over 100,000 roaches.
I later found out, there was a man living in the back room that died, and wasn't found for 3 days. I can only imagine the grisly scene that greeted them.

I"m terrified of spiders especially big ones. I'd have a heart attack in Australia, if I saw a funnel web spider. They can be the size of your fist and actually chase you. Apparently they're very deadly too.

The place doesn't matter, or what your doing doesn't matter if your not happy. Who is ? You only get degrees of temporary pleasure on this earth. Not good enough. I'll take heaven if there is one.

Allah... he can dish it out but can't take it.
by Elsewhere inlooks like the all-powerful creator of everything has to hide behind humans when confronted with opposing ideas.
sure, allah can rant on and on about how he wants to kill and torment the unbelievers, but what happens when someone simply questions allah?

Her is another link which shows your so called goat herder, in fear of what will happen to him when he unexpectadly sees the camera while getting blasted with this loud obnoxious repetitive noise on a daily basis. Note how quickly he reacts. The kindom hall was nothing compared to this!

This link is proof of the repression of the Arabic peoples culture coming from the horses mouth.

" What is suprizing, is the continued insistence, of some that it is due to the brand of religion, rather than, the advanced nature of the culture."
I tend to disagree with that statement. The culture itself has been formed by its religion and remains captive to the ideas of it's hierachy. Why would countries that have been rich in oil for the last 100 years not be able to educate its people and catch up with the rest of the world? What is the force behind the stagnation of their world veiws. Observe the way scolars are treated ,such as Salmon Rushdie with Fatwah edicts. Observe the way the cultures behave over a cartoon depiction and beheadings of people that in any way disagree with them. To any greater or lesser extent, any religion can stagnate growth, both emotionally and intellectually. The witnesses are a fine example of this power. So christianity evolved beyond barbarity sooner. So what? Could this be, because it wasn't founded in blood, and had a different set of principals which were dispensed by the church only. These were the dark ages we are talking about. When the bible became more available, its principals were founded in the formation of the government of the founding fathers. Although not perfect it was from this base that we have our freedoms today.
What exactly are you saying, that we are genetically superior? There have been plenty af arab scholars thoughout the ages, and today, that were fortunate enough, smart enough, and lucky enough, not to be silenced, but have a very week voice in there culture, because there government is a theocracy.

New Ex-JW's: Smoking isn't worth it!
by AlmostAtheist init seems that many jw's take up smoking as soon as they leave the watchtower.
the reason is obvious -- they weren't allowed to!
lighting up is like giving the finger to the watchtower.

I see it as an outward visble symbol that a goofy witness can see, that says stay the ----- away from me I'm not like you. It would be the same as growing a beard. I wish I could quit too. There's not many happy thoughts to fall back on in reprogrmming me though and I know the minute I do they will be right there in my moment of vulnerability and weakness to start with there f-----n bullshit. I wish they would keep there ideas to themselves and leave me alone. pests. I don't need to be battling them on top of the habit. It might be unpredictable for them. I tell you one thing I don't want to go ou like that. It aint pleasant gasping for breath!
